Milky white heads of cauliflower is a true delight. These beauties are so versatile,they lend well to many flavor combinations. Cauliflower has a subtle earthy and floral aroma. A thick cut steak with garlic, cracked pepper, parmesan and a hint of truffle oil make an easy weekday lunch. Enjoy!


cauliflower heads- 2 nos
garlic chopped- 3 tbsp
parmesan grated- 1 cup
sea salt - to taste
cracked black pepper- to taste
olive oil- a generous drizzle
truffle oil- a hint (optional)


1. Pre heat oven to 175-180C
2. Cut the cauliflower heads length wise 4-5 inch thick. Place on a tray and soak them in luke warm water for 5 minutes. rinse and pat dry.
3. Place the cauliflower steaks on a tray layered with parchment paper. Sprinkle chopped garlic, sea salt, cracked pepper and drizzle a generous amount of olive oil, gently spread the evenly using yourfigers on both side.
4. Roast for 10 minutes, pull ot once they get a slight golden color on the edges, spread the grated parmesan and cook for another 10-12 minutes till dark colored.
5. A hint of truffle oil will give a gourmet touch!

Taste Intenisty- As the sugars caramalize the cauliflower steak with turn a lttle chard which will enhance the flavor.
