Love at first bite, the best expression that could be given to this delicious and intriguing cake- dumpling. Ate (Sister) Jenny creates magic with her soft and tender touch. She makes some of the best filipino delicacies. The Ingredients are so basic and the results so delightful!


flour- 1 cup
milk powder- 1 cup
baking powder- 1 tbsp
sugar- 1and 1/2 tbsp
butter- 1/2 cup
eggs- 2 each
water- 1 cup
processed cheese- topping


1. Sieve all the dry ingredients a couple of times for them to mix well.
2. Place them in a bowl and add small cubes of butter and rub them with your fingers.
3. Wish the eggs and pour them on the flour mix and mix them to form a smooth batter.
4. Add water and mix well. There should not be any lumps in the batter.
(In case you find lumps, pass the misture through a fine sieve)
5. Set a steamer with enough water. Coat the plastic cups with butter and scoop the batter into them.
6. Place squares of proccesed cheese on each one of the putos and steam for 12-15 minutes. Remove the putos from the cups and serve.
