Khus root/ vetiver is a root that has many therapeutic properties. The root is very fragrant and helps by cooling down the body. Enjoy a simple and fragrant khus root, lemon and honey sherbet this summer.

Ingredients

khus root- 30gms
fresh lemon juice- 80ml
honey- 3-5 tbsp
salt- a few pinches
water- 2 liters
lemon slices- 5-6 each

Method

1. Wash the khus root throughly and soak them in water for 2-3 days (allow the flavprs to infuse)
2. Strain the water to a serving jug, pour the lemon juice, honey, sliced lemons and a few piches of salt and stir well.
3. Serve Chilled.

Serving Ideas

Serve along with dates and fresh fruits to break the fast during the Holy month of Ramadan
